Messiers’ first catalogued Deep Space Object, The Crab Nebula is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. The Crab Pulsar, estimated at 30 kms wide, has a spin rate of 30.2 times per second, and lies at center of the Crab Nebula.
